What are the effects of suicide incidents to the victim

Suicide's effects on friends and family

There is no doubt that it can be upsetting to learn that a loved one committed suicide. When a loved one dies by suicide, in addition to all the other emotions that anyone would experience in such a situation, there are additional emotions as follows:

a great deal of regret for not stopping the suicide

Failure because a loved one committed suicide as a result of feeling rejected

Angry or resentful at the person who opted to commit suicide

Confusion

Anxiety over unresolved problems (many of which frequently exist in families where one member suffers from a mental condition, which is typical in those who commit suicide)

Effects of Suicide on Friends' and Family's Mental Health

Sadly, those who have successfully committed suicide have an influence on their friends and family as well as their own mental health. According to a Canadian study, parents who lost a child to suicide frequently experience higher levels of sadness, health issues, and financial hardship (sometimes even before the child committed suicide). After a child commits suicide, anxiety and divorce are two common repercussions on the parents.

Another study found that there is a markedly higher risk of suicide among children whose parents died by suicide. The chance of a child's own suicide is higher the younger the youngster was when the parent committed suicide.
